Shining Through Shadows
A photo series on silencing the siren under this Scorpio New Moon ๐
If you sentence a siren to the shadows
Nature will reclaim her
She wonโt cease to ooze truth or create art from the raw materials of her body
Untamed in the lush abyss, her wildness wonโt intimidate the unapologetic wilderness
If a siren screams in the recesses of the internet, does she make a sound?
Attempting to quiet us could never silence the sirenโs song
Defiance is her default
Surrendered as she is to the shamelessness of seduction
Comfortable in her skin amidst a sea of moral panic
Sexuality is being forced deeper into the shadows.
But her instincts?
To shine brighter and to her intuition she is true.

๐ Reflections on this Scorpio New Moon:
It can be easy to forget that the moon is always whole- itโs her relationship with light and shadow that changes.
In this moment cens_____ship is increasing at lightning speed. Yes, this week in our attempt to market our incredibly urgent town hall on the topic, we found that the word itself is being cens____red across platforms including but not limited to IG and X.
It contradicts my own instincts to shine brighter while also increasing my skepticism over the direction the digital world is going.
But, we exist. We always have. And we arenโt going anywhere.
While we do ever more challenging gymnastics to avoid the possibility of being cut off from our client bases, the possibility of having years and years of our work deleted abruptly and without recourse, the depression inducing psychological impacts of continually being silenced and shadowbanned, the conclusion weโve come to remains:
We must push back. Safely, with as much and more conviction, and as relentlessly or morese than those who are working to erase us.
Both on and offline I remain committed to sexual liberation, erotic expression, and I am more convinced than ever that this work is POWERFUL. Or else, why would it be such a priority to shut it down?
Thank you to each and every person who has showed up, supported, shared this panel and my work. I remain committed with or without your support, but damn does you support mean a lot. It keeps me encouraged, lets me know that even while Iโm actively being silenced, I am still heard. It helps me literally feed myself and fill my cup to keep going on this uncertain path.
